Expect more of this in the USA as everything falls apart.

Also expect people to just start dumping used oil anywhere and everywhere, like in the same bodies of water they’re fishing from.

Just start to expect the air you breathe the water you drink the food you eat to generally be poisoned.

Flint, Michigan style water crises coming to a city near you!

like in the same bodies of water they’re fishing from.

Like they did back then. Which then lead to large burning bodies of water. Which then lead to regulations.

This seems like a relatively low priority thing to get upset over. Godspeed you, upside down truck cap boat man.

Obviously I don’t know where this is or what the rules are there. I think though in some places this is not illegal as it’s a small electric motor that can’t go fast. But that’s just my thoughts this morning. Also, where there’s a will there’s a way, and good luck to him, awesome ingenuity.

I’d hope that there are laws for what coating you can have on your boat. Slowly leaching heavy metals and paint chemicals into the lake probably isn’t good for the ecosystem.

Interesting take on registering a boat. I agree with your philosophy regarding nasties in the water. Sad to say that any kind of run-off will probably have lots of ugly things in it. And I mean it’s not like all boats are completely without harm to ecosystems really.

No free means have guns and allow children to use them as well as having a deep relationship between a political judge and deep payments to make laws that help the class war finish up the stragglers

I think this is pretty common, I think part of the reason is so that you don’t accidentally introduce critters/eggs from one body of water to another

Definitely a fair question; at least for the large bodies of water near me, before they let you park and take your vessel in, they check the registration on it. I’m doing that, they can check what other bodies of water you’ve taken the vessel to and how recently, and can then determine whether or not it’s safe for you to bring it into that one.

I don’t actually know what the recourse is if it’s not safe, if they make you spray it down thoroughly there, or completely refuse entry, or something else. My information here is from a vague memory of a sign at a lake parking area that was titled “Why do I need to register?” or something like that.
