Yes, energy drinks shouldn’t be sold to children. An age limit that prevents selling to people below 16 seems like a good idea to me.
I joined Lemmy back in 2020 and have been using it as qaz@lemmy.ml until somewhere in 2023 when I switched to lemmy.world. I’m interested in systemd/Linux, FOSS, and Selfhosting.

Okay, I’ve taken a look and so far I’ve seen the following.
You were never banned (except for one time being banned by moss), but Peachy did remove several posts from you.
One of those removed posts was an “anti-trans meme” (probably not intended by you this way) and a different instance of you not tagging NSFW. I believe you when you say you never posted anything transphobic, but it certainly seems like the meme has transphobic elements. It starts with saying “you will never be a real mushroom” (“you will never be a real woman”). It also says the subject never will have spores (reference to trans woman missing “real” genitals). Furthermore, it finishes with “You are a small kitten twisted by fabric and wool into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection”, which is very close to things like “You are a man with a dress and implants and a crude mockery of nature’s perfection”. This might seem far-fetched, but each line is extremely similar to common transphobic sayings.
So, enough meme analysis and talk about the things you’ve said:
My modlog is completely clear and free of ANY such removals or bans
So this is false, but I can understand why you might have thought that because those removals were on blahaj and you might have checked the logs for lemmy.world
…outright lying about me and claiming that they have banned me for being transphobic in the past
Peachy didn’t say you were “being transphobic”, they said they removed an “anti-trans meme”, which is true.
I banned Stamets a couple times over the last year for posting an anti-trans meme
This has literally never happened and they’re just making shit up about me now to try and justify a ban after the fact.
I hope you can see why a mod who sees someone posting a (to some) blatantly obvious transphobic meme, later sees them not marking a post as NSFW, is unlikely to see their side of the issue when they later complain about a ban. I can understand that you’re upset (rightfully so, I don’t think the ban was justified) and have no interest in participating in this community going forward, but we’re not making things up.
I still somewhat struggle to explain to myself why he won.
I’ve considered it being a protest vote, not one with a clear goal or particular signal in mind, but just as a F you to whomever was in power, but that doesn’t explain why people worship him.
I’ve considered it being a result of conspiracy theories and his ability to use those to his advantage by occasionally partial recognizing them and playing along with the story, but that doesn’t explain why over half the country would vote for him.
I’ve considered it being a consequence of Moscow trying to destabilize the US by supporting a candidate that is easily bought or manipulated. Although there definitely has been some interference, believing it to be effective to an extent of swaying the elections seems almost like wishful thinking at this point.
In the end, I’m still not entirely sure what it is. Maybe you’re right and it’s really that simple.
Trump has won again, despite how he acted last time.
This is referring to the plans to create digital euro with GNU Taler, right?
GNU Taler (Taxable Anonymous Libre Electronic Resources) is a new secure electronic payment system based on open standards, free software, and advanced cryptography. GNU Taler provides privacy guarantees to the buyer while offering the possibility to audit merchants, making sale incomes transparent and fraud difficult. To online merchants and retailers, GNU Taler offers instant transaction clearance without risks of fake payment methods. Computations needed to clear the payments are efficient and scalable so that banks can pass on lower transaction costs to consumers and merchants. Consumers can withdraw money from their existing bank account into their GNU Taler wallet, detaching their spending habits from scrutiny, in the way cash does.
The NGI TALER project is funded under Horizon Europe (Pilots for the Next Generation Internet) with the aim of bringing GNU Taler to market across Europe.
I think the following happened:
I think the latest message is just from a random psycho that either wants attention or likes to see how people react.
I therefore suggest the following:
A picture of a partially naked dead body was posted with the normal text below. It’s most likely an unrelated edit with a picture taken from the internet made by some moron who thought it was funny.
The DM was deleted within 15 minutes after seeing it
They’re not lying, I also got it
Perhaps TS is not a terrible language for shell scripts after all
RFC3339 then?
Oh, thanks for elaborating. I didn’t know it was from a superhero manga and thought it was referring to something else entirely.
Maybe because spaces aren’t available in some contexts (like URL’s) and you don’t need both T
and D
to make it more easily recognizable.
Why did you post this? I this some kind of reference? Because to me it just reminds me of the current femicide epidemic.
It does have GPU acceleration but you might have to enable it in the settings
Are you worried the US GOV will start to extend their program from people without citizenship to other undesirables? I don’t know a lot about what’s going on in the US, so I thought it only affected people without US citizenship (although mostly PoC). Regarding benefits, it seems like that is a program funded by the state itself, so hopefully that doesn’t change.
Looks good, great attention for detail!
Just ask for ID like alcohol
