Seems like a wise idea. I kinda always assumed that air ports had systems in place to flip over to war-mode relatively easily, but that was just an unsubstantiated assumption.
Which, given the location and geopolitical situation, makes sense.
Russia would bomb their airports in a war regardless of whether or not they were used for military purposes, so they might as well

That is a cheap way of increasing number of military airports in case of a potential Russian aggression.
What do military need that the civilian airport do not have ? True question. Sure the grass trip airfield where hobbyist fly may not be suited for military use, but I would believe that in larger airport, most of the facilites are at least existing.
Active radar, rather than just passive that looks for transponders.
Gonna guess a properly set up and protected ammunition dump.
Mechanics that are certified to work on military air frames.
Extra hangars/parking spots, with security controlling access. Parts warehouse.Just few things that come to mind.
