Actress Jenna Ortega is opening up about a small role she had in 2013’s Iron Man 3, and why she’s ‘moved on’ from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

TLDR: she was in IronMan 3 but they did not credit her and she didn’t like that at all.

Fix: they did credit her, but not as the original, important character she was supposed to be. Her scenes were mostly cut and she ended up as a very minor “extra”.

Looking it up, She played the vice president’s daughter. The vice president wanted to use the extremis serum on his daughter to heal her lost leg.

Her part was almost entirely removed from the film apart from the minimum for the story and with no speaking lines, she’s effectively an 11 year old extra in the final film. It’s not surprising at all.

She IS credited as “Vice President’s daughter,” so I don’t understand what the drama is about. Maybe she auditioned for a bigger role and got snubbed. Or maybe she originally had a bigger presence in the movie and it was mostly cut out.

From the Iron Man 3 credits:

The quote in the article, I think, is that they “took [her] name out”. I’m guessing it means the character’s name. Seems like the character had a few scenes and lines and such that all go cut, so they cut the character’s name, too.
