That’s not what DEI in the states did. The view that there is some kind of diversity hire quota or something is right wing disinformation.

DEI just meant that you had to look at the merits and qualifications of the job, and couldn’t hire a less qualified white person over a more qualified POC. Same for women and the disabled.
