I see that mages #1 and #2 have been playing Fester’s Quest.
Progenitor of the Weird Knife Wednesday feature column. Is “column” the right word? Anyway, apparently I also coined the Very Specific Object nomenclature now sporadically used in the 3D printing community. Yeah, that was me. This must be how Cory Doctorow feels all the time these days.
I see that mages #1 and #2 have been playing Fester’s Quest.
What makes you think it wasn’t?
It may not do to assume. I mean, at one point everyone blithely assumed that Mexicans found Speedy Gonzales to be racist and there was a (completely white-led) little backlash against him until someone got around to actually asking some Mexicans about it and discovered that he was actually broadly popular with that demographic.
Left field suggestion, also: Make sure there isn’t anything trapped under your build plate. If you have any shreds of filament or flakes of old supports or whatever between the steel plate and its magnetic base, the surface won’t be flat to a degree that the auto leveling probably won’t be able to deal with it and you’ll get all kinds of crazy unpredictable results.
I did this on my Qidi once. I’m glad I noticed before going crazy with troubleshooting. I had black filament scraps on the black magnetic base, which were practically invisible and I only found them by feel.
I tend to stand there like a chump and feed the new roll in behind the tail end of the last little bit of the old roll, pressing against it until the extruder gears take up the slack so as to fool the filament sensor…
It’s tedious, but it works.
Random fact re: Dr Pepper, there is no period/dot after the “Dr” in the logo and to my knowledge there never has been. Same with Mr Pibb. (Yes, I first learned this fact from 8 Bit Theater. Don’t try to tell me some of you didn’t, either.)
Look at how many of those clones follow the same convention. Seven of them, by my count. Somebody noticed.
I hereby further submit to you that “Dr” Pepper is in fact not a real doctor. Either that, or he’s British. No middle ground.
Windows users: Press ctrl + alt + shift + windows key + L. Go on, try it.
You’re welcome. You can never unlearn this knowledge now.
Yeah, the lame smear attempt has already begun. I’m surprised it took this long, honestly.
And they’re already whinging about not being able to find an “impartial” jury. I see… So it’s only valid when the media/courts/police/etc. do it to make the defendant look bad, because that works in the state’s favor, see? The other way around is just Not Fair!
Stupid time! You made me look bad. Ooga booga booga!
