I work with some Ukrainian and Israeli contractors. They are much more direct than the typical American, and there was some cultural calibration that had to happen on both sides of the relationship.
Of course any competent international businessman or seasoned politician would already know this and navigate those cultural differences as a matter of course.
Free Speech isn’t dependent on a “platform” - you are free to talk to people, publish a newsletter, stand on a street corner with a sign, put up a website, etc.
The idea that “platforms” need to amplify and broadcast whatever you “post” or else you don’t have free speech is asinine - you have no right to force others to disseminate or repeat your message.
There’s the “I didn’t write it, I don’t know how it got here! Just a public forum, friend!” line we are so familiar with.
It matters, and you used up the “I’m just a guy posting things” justification.

If you have an apple device, I believe you can lock the phone remotely via the “find my” app on another device or through Apple’s website. Not sure about Android.
