

It comes up every once in a while in therapy.
In case you’re interested: The problem for me is that I can’t see the other person’s face so I have trouble judging their reactions. Are they mad at me, are they confused by what I said, are they joking around? When in doubt, I tend to default to the worst possibility so I’m constantly on the defense. That’s what’s exhausting about it. It’s a little easier with friends and family because I can of course interpret their voices more easily but I still don’t enjoy it. I know it’s not “normal” but it’s also not something that’s going to change anytime soon.
Nothing to do with texting, I’m old. 🤷
