I have a vested interest in progressives succeeding, but they keep making major missteps them cry and say the other side has more money.

The current strategy isn’t working and there needs to be a deep look as to why it isn’t working.

So money can hire people who know how to argue and advertise better? That sounds like a skill issue.

And money only “buys” legislation because it is used for advertising. During its height, the NRA didn’t have to contribute the kind of money that other lobbying organizations did. Why? The NRA had a large membership of people that voted.

Why does money beat a progressive message?

They don’t need a full alignment.

Russia is weakening the USA and its relationship to its allies, weakening resistance to a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan and its claims to the South China Sea.

The only issues they may come to clash with is Central Asia, but China seems ok with letting Russia have geopolitical control as long as China has economic access to these countries.

The problem is going to be deciding what the peace looks like.

Russia is asking for more land than it controls and doesn’t provide security guarantees to Ukraine, opening Ukraine up to a possible third invasion in the near future.

Ukraine seems open to accepting its current losses, but likely needs security guarantee by some entity powerful enough to deter a third invasion. You also have NATO/EU nations being unwilling to withdraw troops from nations bordering Russia because this is the second time Russia has invaded a neighboring country in 11 years and these nations aren’t belligerents yet.

Given how costly it is to send inspectors on the tracks, I can see this being of value to MTA. This is also a decent use of AI.

A Google Pixel is dedicated recording hardware. It has a good enough microphone, great camera, and accelerometers to monitor vibration.

It also doesn’t have to be amazing, just good enough.

There were tons of discussions about how a lot of progressives couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Democrats, so they didn’t vote.

I wouldn’t expect them to vote for Trump.

I’m going to take a different tack on this than other responses: evil is winning because good is dumb.

A lot of progressive groups within the past few decades, whether it be Occupy, Black Lives Matter, or others, can’t seem to actually get their policies enacted on a mass scale. In cases where politicians actually go through with their policies, those progressive groups won’t support those politicians from getting voted out and having the reforms reversed.

Trump got elected, in part, because progressives didn’t want to vote for Genocide Joe and Copmala. Yet, you don’t see progressives building the kinds of political groups needed to wil elections like the right has.
