Going to peaceful protests are useful because it can help you meet some more like-minded folks.

Not to mention sometimes a protest starts peaceful and then goes to shit.

And if you’re worried about your stereo you can always pull the fuse so it gets no power then put the fuse back when you get home.

To everyone reading this comment: call AND email your reps, also find local protest. I recommend Indivisible and they likely have a local group in your area.

I’ve already been to one in my area with them and hundreds of people showed up. There were 2 in my area that day, 1 on each side of the metro area (technically 2 cities that smashed together and are in 2 different states) the larger area had over a thousand show up. We both made the local news and got a HUGE influx of more people involved.
