Thank you, that’s a very useful perspective. I’ll keep it in mind.

It’s easy to shit on neoliberalism.
Far harder to face the truth: we are already at war with Russia, while our security guarantor is pulling out.
I’m not sure what choices Macron made exactly, and he may well have protected established interests over the vulnerable.
But I do know that we, Free Europe, will have to make some hard choices and accept unpopular policy to be able to protect ourselves and our allies.
There’s a fundamental difference in the way the UK and Russia deal with European values such as democracy, freedom of expression, press freedom, etc.
Worse, they’ve cut off all services to the International Criminal Court. Due to Trump’s sanctions. All gov and judicial services in NL continue to rely on Microsoft’s cloud tech… Literally the dog in the house on fire meme…
While this headline is absolutely despicable, let’s not forget there’s plenty of lawyers who’ve given up many comforts to fight for good instead. They will be tearing this up.
Judging lawyers just for being lawyers does not help our case. Judge lawyers for being evil, cheer on those who choose to make the world a better place.
You could buy them with /e/OS
pre-installed IIRC, at least some model at some point.
This is like joining an engineering team without transfems, enbies, and cat ears. Your IT infrastructure about to be ass.
I bet that 1234 is used more often because of the 4-character minimum, like PIN codes on debit cards. It’s 4 characters so it’s safe. 123, on the other hand, is not safe, because it is 3 characters. /s
My solar inverter admin interface has a certain 4-digit password. So I wanted to change it to secure it, and found out that it only allows 4-digit passwords. Luckily the access point can be set up with a higher entropy password though (it is constantly advertised and had a very “secure” 8-digit password by default, I think you can guess which one)
I always love reading your comments, @Smorty@lemmy.blahaj.zone
Keep being awesome!
How would you feel about this as an autist who stims? I would be scared that even the most progressive online spaces are normalizing mocking autists for stimming.
We don’t need to use discrimination to mock and hate Elon Musk. There are plenty of valid reasonsto mock him and hate him. His sexism, nazism, willful ignorance about discrimination, inability to have equal relationships with meaningful communication (remember when he told his wife “I’d fire you if you were my employee”?), etc.
Let’s stick to those and not alienate neurodivergents. (Same goes for fat-shaming Elon btw)
There’s no way they’re spending less on those three people than they spent on you.
Good for you for consciously deciding what you want your work-life balance to look like. But also remember this for salary negotiations: 3 people x 50k is 150k. And those three people also need time to coordinate among themselves. The value you were bringing to the company at that point was at least 200k.
Superaffengeile List! Hab nur noch zwei gehört, Unplug Trump und Kruppstahl, beide 10/10 (oder muss ich sagen 1/6)
Please don’t split the EU defense community again over aircraft engines…
I don’t even care which engines we get, can we just agree to make it a NIST randomness beacon coin toss?
Can we please just do something together with all of Europe for once?
If you are so patriotic, (no searching) how many yards go in a mile? How many in a fathom, a furlong? How many barleys to an inch?
Yes it is. It’s in Alpha because it’s not feature complete yet.
But not everyone needs a feature-complete Desktop Environment. Some people are OK with a basic window manager.
Despite known bugs (reproducible crashes), many people are happy with it already.
Guess some of those use Garuda.
Isn’t that the normal operating state of the Foxbat family?
Tap for explanation
MiG-25 engine service life is 150 hours, MiG-31 300 hours. These engines are essentially burning themselves to death constantly. For comparison: the 🇨🇵Rafale engine, the Snecma M88-2, has a time between overhauls of 3000 hours, and is designed for a service life of 6000 hours.
