The last week or so has been kinda odd. I know there are only a very small handful of conservatives around here so it really feels like “we’ve” basically just stormed an empty room that they occasionally occupy and started taking a dump on the floor multiple times a day. The thought “poking the bear” has crossed my mind at times, not that there’s any threat involved.

I wish there was an actual conservative community that could welcome opposition and not just post whatever nonsense Breitbart or Fox has to say… I have to say it was refreshing to see the conservative reddit posts that the “leopards ate my face” bot picked up. At least they were being honest about how absurd this administration is being. Unfortunately for all they say about “the left” censoring opposition, they just seem to want a circlejerk safe space for “flaired only” users. I sure do see a lot of opposing ideas/opinions in various threads from “the left” though. Just go too far left and they start censoring again according to some.

The conservative targeting is bullshit. Unsure about the validity of the leak though, that could be true. Jim Jordan is a piece of shit no matter what though.

What I’ve found works in exposing their bias and letting you know you’ll never get an honest opinion is reversing the positions.

When news came out in his first term that Trump was having Lou Dobbs on conference call during important meetings I asked my dad “did you hear that Obama used to have Anderson Cooper on conference calls during important meetings?” and naturally he says “of course he would, that’s pretty messed up they shouldn’t allow that kind of stuff.” then I apologized for lying and said “it was actually Lou Dobbs and Trump.” again naturally he then changes his tune “oh, well Lou Dobbs is a respectable journalist, that’s different…”
