in the interest of throwing some positivity around, how has joy found you recently?

I’m not going to put a time limit on “recently.” I personally have been struggling, so I thought it would be nice to see some other people’s enjoyment of things.

for me, I’ve got a couple small things. it’s nice out, finally, so I’ve started taking walks again (I like to go for about three miles at a time) with music to listen to and I’ll chat with my friends too. additionally, I’ve handwritten some of my friends and my partner letters, with stickers inside for them to have. I’m really looking forward to them getting them.

lastly, I know I’ve posted before on things like linux and selfhosting, and I’ve been doing more with that. nothing too spectacular, but I recently spun up a Ghost blog container… that only took me 5 hours to troubleshoot, hahaha. I think it’s my setup, but I’m just glad I did it. I use it as a private journal that my partner reads and comments on. I’m hoping to try again with some other services, like Calibre Web Automated and a bit of the *Arr suite.

Started to leave the machines when I am working out. I somehow have more fun with the Barebells an such. I actually have a lot of fun looking up different excercises, how to do them correctly and then trying to do just this. It also feels a bit more badass to me, to be in that area of the center where alle the very muscular people are. Well, and me, not totally fitting in :-D

Also recently started to visit raves. Even if that leaves me with less sleep on the weekends, I am usually carried thorugh the first days of the week by those evenings. It’s just so much fun for me, I can let go so many things while dancing there. Guess I could ramble on about this, but I will spare y’all this mumbling :-)

This comment is further motivating me to get back to lifting heavy things. I miss body building… and also raves! It’s been too many years since I’ve engaged in either.

hey I used to love lifting weights when I was younger! I’m not entirely sure I was doing it right, but I can relate to it being more fun. I hope you keep following that joy, and the raves! I’ve never been to one, but I don’t usually go out, hahaha.
