A few months ago I was wondering what to get my girlfriend for her birthday. Her favourite animal is the guinea fowl, so when I saw a pattern for one, I decided I will learn to crochet and make her a guinea fowl plushie.

Well, after a lot of youtube tutorials, a few small and one medium-sized project, last week I decided it’s time and started working on the bird.

Took me a few days of on and off crocheting, but I just finished and OMG, I love it!

It’s certainly not perfect, the seams around the neck are absolutely tragic, but overall, I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I’m still relatively new, I have no idea what a moss stitch is, lol. The spots are formed by switching colour after every stitch on even rounds and using only black on odd rounds. It sounds annoying, but once you get used to holding the two yarns at once it’s surprisingly easy. You just grab the other colour every time you have to pull through both loops on the hook.
