Hey all

Have any of you ever done volunteer work for local nature conservation efforts or other environmental work? Was it worth it getting to know like minded people? I live in a very rural area so there isn’t much “nature” left to conserve (all destroyed for farms). But… I’ve found some groups and they mainly do tree planting at local parks, which in the grand scheme of things seems pointless but I guess it’s mainly for getting involved? What are y’all’s thoughts on this?
