If hyperinflation kicks in, your money will be worthless. Consider investing in goods and tools.

Buckle up, this shit is just getting started. The US economy is going to be utterly fucked with the donvict and muskrat running things. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if we actually see mass starvation in the US before this is all over. Not because there’s no food, but because a large swath of the public just can’t afford it.

I can’t afford 4 years of canned goods for 3 people.

I’m just gonna set up a garden this spring and can 90% of it.

I’ve got my wife buying huge bags of rice and beans every shopping trip. So far we have 50 lbs each in storage in our basement. I am definitely not fucking around lol.

How are you protecting them from insects, potential rodents, or water damage?

If the economy gets so bad that you need to dip into the basement rice, you very likely might not be able to get your sump pump fixed or keep out pests as well.

I have a week of emergency food, but it’s stuff my family will actually like to eat and is fairly nutritious. Beans and rice will only get you so far. And my emergency stash is in waterproof storage containers on a shelf. I just advise you to actually look into shelf stable foods you’ll enjoy eating and look into proper storage practices for food.

55 gallon plastic drum, 5 gallon mylar bags filled with rice and oxygen absorbers.

With beans, you deep freeze them first, then put them into the bags with oxygen absorbers.

Walked into the store to buy a drink just now. Realized today was the boycott as I walked up to the counter to check out, so I simply put it back and left. I didn’t even need it anyways

I have seen more people out and about today at the banks, the fast food places, the grocery stores, than I’ve seen in months. I fix cars for a living and I’ve had more customers today than I’ve had any day in the last three weeks.

        Makes me livid

I cut my spending to the bone. I can afford to spend more, but I don’t see any reason to participate in the economy more than I have to.

    Oh no! Anyway.

    edit So I’m anti consumer.

I live a meager life as if I were 90 and dying, because reasons.

    I don’t buy things I don’t need.

    Suppose capitalist bootlickers hate that?
