It is just how Trump works - he assumes everything is his for the taking until someone more powerful than him says no. I don’t think the world is that altruistic.
Americans tend to do what they’re told, so I wouldn’t expect anything other than thoughts and prayers from within the US. Sure, there would be a Million Maple March in Washington, but nothing would come of it.
I doubt our NATO partners would rush to put their soldiers in harms way. The US is a nuclear superpower that says it’s their ally - that’s both a carrot and stick getting them to sit out. I don’t think they’ve even offered much condemnation of Trump’s “51st state” comments.

Prior to Trump taking office the first time I read the literature on a second US civil war, most of the literature said it is not if it is when and it was all published prior to Trump rolling down the escalator. I thought Luigi was going to be what actually started their next civil war but it looks me now that it will be Musk, however Luigi’s sentencing may also be a boiling point. I so want Luigi to be found innocent but I am not holding my breath!
There’s plenty of left/Left/Dem Muricans who own guns, just most of them aren’t the “have enough guns and ammo to equip half a battalion” type of gun owner.
They are also silent, they don’t feel the need to lay each gun out on their back deck and take a pic for xitter with their children in the middle of all the guns
