I continued through Red Dead Redemption 2 today. I spent the entire evening doing Honor Missions and Stranger Missions. Upon returning to camp i got this sight of a rainbow over the swamp that i thought was pretty and wanted to share.

During the Arcadia for amateurs side quest, i too also took a picture of the horses as they ran past. This is the first Horse based picture i’ve taken that i think actually turned out good. I’ve taken a few of Arthur’s current horse in the past and i feel like they always come out looking like the horse is hovering on all 4 legs.

I also went and did Mary’s side quest. I let Arthur go and enjoy the theater with her because he deserves it. and i got some fun pictures of the play.

I also went by that abandoned town to pick up a book for Jack and grabbed a picture of the door. Back when this game first launched i remember hearing crazy theories that this was teasing undead nightmare 2, because it was similar too the door in the first episode of the Walking Dead and supposedly you could hear noises on the other side. I gave it a try for fun and didn’t hear anything though lol.

Finally, there was this picture of a storm i took. It’s very mundane but it really capture the feeling of a storm on the plains for me. It really was an amazing example of how much detail Rockstar put into this game, because it’s not often a game gets me to stop and say “wow, this feels so familiar”. One of the few recent games i can think of that did the same thing was Silent Hill 2, which really captured the town feeling it was going for.

    I agree.

I also just can’t really play games that force me to think about my bank account while I’m playing, charging fees or subscription rates just to fully participate in the game, like seeing a bounty hunting mission that requires me to send money before I can start it. Totally breaks the immersion–I play games so I don’t have to think about the real world for a bit. Making me enter bank details wrecks that.
