A searchable list of named victims in Gaza since October 2023, as published by the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, reproduced by Airwars for research purposes.

The release of the first list came after former U.S. President Biden questioned the Ministry of Health death toll in Gaza during the early months of the war. Since then, an additional six lists have been released - including more than 40,000 names.

Releasing detailed lists of victims is rare in conflict. Israeli officials have questioned MoH figures. In a disputed environment the lists are starting points for investigations & an indication of the scale of harm. But released only as Arabic PDFs, they are hard to navigate

Building on prior transliteration efforts by organisations such as tech4palestine, the tool offers users the ability to search the lists in both Arabic and English.

Users can search by ID number, as well as name, age, sex and which list(s) they appeared on. An ‘Explanatory Note’ outlines the purpose of the tool and links all MoH lists published, while ‘Search Tips’ offers suggestions to aid you in navigating the data.
