Canada’s province of Ontario will slap a 25% export tax on electricity it sends to 1.5 million homes in Minnesota, Michigan and New York, in retaliation for President Trump’s tariffs, said Doug Ford, Ontario’s leader.

Ford added that he will direct the province’s energy producers to shut down the exports entirely if Trump moves ahead with even more tariffs on April 2. He said he would direct his minister of energy to redirect energy from an Ontario nuclear reactor to local manufacturers instead.

    This is what Trump was hoping for. He gets to punch blue states and turn them to red states. I’m not saying they shouldn’t do it, just saying it’s a big win for DJT.

      Many actions are targeted at red states. But sometimes the weapons you have are the weapons you have.

      And, really, whatever US internal politics are, this is an act of war by the US against Canada. I think few will lose sleep about making any American bleed right now. Hopefully it wakes those blue states up to start really taking action.

      I know places in northen states that still have confederate flags. Those places are gonna get hit as well. It would be real fun to see those countries turn blue over this.
