On the Mastodon side of things, I have a word filter for “reminder”. If a post contains the word “reminder” in any context, I will not see it.
I’ve just found that most of the time, people make posts like “Reminder that <highly subjective opinion>”. I really don’t know, if it’s a meme at this point, but I still don’t particularly care to read it.
I need to find more calming communities on lemmy, too many alarm bells and saber rattling for my mental wellbeing.
That’s a big reason why I left .world; Blåhaj is just a more positive place.
I usually broswe by all, bumbling around aimlessly, like a honeybee in a field of flowers.
like a particle in a field
Seriously. It’s honestly easier to find chill communities on Reddit, even if I hate supporting that site. But at least it has non-political stuff. Politics feels impossible to avoid here.
I don’t believe in non-political stuff. Why do you have to force your belief in non-political content on everyone else?
Apparently just invoking that name is enough to give you downvotes. As reddit sheds users in its overt attempts to monotize, I think those communities will work their way over here in due time.
If everything is a priority, nothing is.
