Fuck reddit! If the comment isn’t an overt call to violence let the user base upvote or downvote the comment as moderation. These are only words and we pay them too much credence. I’m all for equality. Equality doesn’t punch down, though. The rules don’t get to punish one group first and then say, “Well, we’ll get to that other group, too. Don’t worry about them.” If there isn’t equality throughout, then it’s just favoritism. If Reddit wants to have rules, then Reddit should abide by them at all times. If you think it requires too much effort to police that site, post something that falls hard left, and something that falls hard right, and see which one gets removed first. The site, as its core, is unequal.

I am impressed at the level that this man (allegedly) scared the ruling class. I think they’re making a critical mistake though in assuming that these types of crackdowns combined with a spiraling economy won’t just make people who are even more desperate and motivated.
