Current affairs magazine Slate reports on the Leftist movement’s political equivalent of Joe Rogan: Hasan “Abi” Piker. Slate elaborates on Piker’s origins to the political commentary space, substantiates his trials and tribulations with becoming one of the most well known, well paid, hottest socialists, and proposes Piker’s no holds barred approach to advocating for the working class American as the Democratic Party’s new platform in wake of the humiliating 2024 General Election.

Consider reading if you aren’t familiar with Hasan! He’s opened my eyes to a world outside of Capitalism that has helped me better understand open source technologies like FOSS software, and the kinds of systems that inevitably lead to closed source technologies falling apart that serve no one, charging a fortune in return.

He has gone to protests! And rallies!

In recent memory, he’s attended pro Palestinian protests in Chicago, showcased nonprofits trying to help those in squalor in Skid Row, Los Angeles, and marched/striked in solidarity with SAG-AFTRA workers. More recently, he’s done real world journalism by speaking to imprisoned peoples that populate firefighting forces in California. That story was especially potent because of the fires that happened recently in Los Angeles.

In all instances, he’s brought his 30,000-strong Twitch audience and casted the spotlight on local leaders that can speaker better to the issues at hand. I think him bringing awareness to these things, in addition to him covering the news, definitely gets overlooked by many people that already have a preconception of him.

Hasan is a tankie. Very popular on twitch, pretends to be left, but leans more right. He’s kinda like Joe Rogan with his political grifts. He promoted a terrorist on twitch, trying to platform them. He also has beef with other streamers, like Destiny and h3h3productions, for differences in politics and the Gaza situation. OP, promoting Hasan is a red flag.

Name a single position Hasan has that is on the right lmao. I suspect you’re just saying that because he’s critical of Democrats. That kid he interviewed is not a member of Ansar Allah, literally just a Yemeni teenager.

Ethan and Hila are both zionists, so anyone clashing with their views on Gaza is a positive.
